Document Management Software (ODISS)

Using ODISS, our customers have the ability to search, view, email, print & annotate images without any required third party Document Management software.

ODISS is an Octacom developed document management application for the viewing, retrieving, archiving and distribution of documents and data.  By utilizing ODISS companies can provide corporate access to all business critical documents that require SECURE distribution and access. Accounts Payable invoices, Accounts Receivable documentation, Monthly statements, invoices, POD's and waybills, and all other business critical documents that require SECURE distribution and access.

ODISS is available to all Octacom clients - Enterprise Wide ODISS is setup to maintain the “look and feel” of your corporate brand.

PDF – the Adobe PDF document format has been adopted for use in all Octacom web based applications. PDF output is available as the default for all hosting clients. PDF provides a significant advantage to users in terms of both functionality and ease of use. PDF rendering is done "on the fly" with no performance degradation. Octacom can also provide PDF output for other applications outside of ODISS. All data archived within the ODISS system is maintained in its native format, images are created and stored in a TIF group4 open standard and as above PDF, html, and XML is created on demand.

Octacom’s ODISS solution supports very sophisticated security models.  Each index can be used to secure access to a document.  ODISS can be hosted by Octacom, with all hardware and software requirements residing at Octacom’s data centre.  Alternatively, ODISS can be installed on servers located at a customer site.  In either alternative, documents and data are updated via a secure file transfer (SFTP) to the client server or updated directly by Octacom within our hosted application.
ODISS and Octacom also support the acceptance of images via email and fax.  This means that we can update your application with documents that are sent in through distribution centers and remote offices from multi-function devices.  This approach eliminates courier costs and accelerates turn-around times. 
ODISS provides Octacom customers with access to their documents in a sophisticated document management solution without the traditional costs for user licenses and maintenance associated with an updatable document management solution.
